Looking Back…

I saw on TV this weekend the events surrounding the boxing match between the then Cassius Clay and Sonny Liston in 1964.

He was given absolutely no chance…Liston was the monster of the ring and Clay the self proclaimed “special one”…at just 22 years old…he of course won in what can only be described as the most majestic performance by any athlete…it’s was like nothing we had ever seen before. The world changed that night….he was really soooooo beautiful.

What was great to listen to however, was the perspective that he, by then Muhammad Ali, became a leading Anti Vietnam war, and the stance he took.

One (white) commentator said that if Muhammed was anything else than black, we would have been an All American Hero…

It was a pleasure to see you again Muhammad…

GM….Gone for the Moment…

Amazing that a company can get so big that countries can’t afford to let it go bust…

The only good thing that I really hope will come from this, is that the attention of General Motors will now focus on designing cars for the 21st Century…all running on renewable energy…
